Spring Fling

Friday 3rd of May at 7.00pm was the date and time arranged for the annual spring dance .

Ticket sales were very good and there was a great turnout even though the weather was not very spring like. It didn’t matter though as we were not expecting to be dancing outside.

Kenny provided the entertainment of the evening along with Tam and John Agnew who had the dancers up and round the floor in no time with a good mix of tunes.

The well stocked, donated, licensed bar was a popular area with the thirsty dancers where most everything was available, from apple juice to whisky! Thank you to Karen and Chris for their bartending duties.

At 9pm there was a beautiful buffet served all made by the fantastic kitchen staff on the premises. Sandwiches, chicken, crisps and dips all went down a treat. One question though, where was the tattie scones? When the food had been devoured it was time for the raffle, here thanks must be given to all the folks who very kindly donated prizes. It is always much appreciated.

Dancing then resumed and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. 12am came around too soon and it was time to go but we hope to see you all again soon.

All money raised at the dance were for the benefit of Coronation Day Centre so once again thank you to everyone who donated, be it of prizes or of their time. A total of £950 was raised on the night
