Today, Tuesday 28th June, 30 members of Locharbriggs Club came up from Dumfries for a visit and lunch. They try to come up once or twice a year and it is always fun to see them they are such a happy group of people. Margaret, Fiona and Lynn had been extra busy in the kitchen, baking pancakes, fruit loaves, ¬†gingerbreads and an assortment of scones. These were all for sale. For lunch today we had Tattie Soup followed by Smoked Gammon Salad & chips, Black Forest Torte, tea and coffee. Everyone certainly enjoyed it as plates were cleared and some even had seconds! Then in a change to the normal routine, instead of having someone in to entertain, we decided to have an activity! New Age Kurling was set up and everyone had a go. It’s a great interactive activity with loads of encouragement from all round the hall. We had a little raffle which went down well with everyone and then there was a well deserved afternoon cuppa with homemade cream meringues. Again it was lovely to see all the ladies, and gentleman, we wish you a safe journey home. Haste ye back.
