The day centre has been decorated with bunting, the menu has been prepared so now for the fun and celebrations to begin. Members came along dressed in their finest to party for the Queens 90th birthday. Teas and coffees were served with butter and jam pancakes, lovely. Jim Pratt came along and entertained with a few songs in the morning to set the party mood. Chairperson Mairi McRobert proposed a toast to the Queen, then a carvery lunch was served, lentil and bacon soup followed by roast pork & beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potato and vegetables followed by raspberry and chocolate pyramid with raspberry coulis. Most delicious it was too!

Jim once again stepped up to keep the party going with sing along songs. Starting with, appropriately, Congratulations. Afternoon tea was, quintessentially English, cream scones.  What a lovely day and much enjoyed by members and staff alike.

God Bless the Queen.
