Fundraiser Dance

The Day Centre held a fundraiser dance on Friday 21st September; tickets were on sale for £5 and this included a buffet. There was also a bar for anyone who needed some refreshments. The evening got underway at 7.30pm with some folks so eager they were at the doors for 7!

Kenny McLeod supplied the music for the first part of the evening with the dance floor filled from song number one. Kenny is regular at the Day Centre and everyone enjoys his music, everything from the Eagles to Sandy Shaw. Great songs that kept the floor full.

Tam Agnew and Crew also appeared and again had the floor filled in no time. The Scottish music they play is also much enjoyed at the Day Centre. The sound of the accordion and fiddle had feet tapping and hands clapping.

The buffet was served just after 9pm and was freshly made in the kitchen. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, chicken nibbles, crackers with cheese and cherry tomato, cocktail sausages, etcetera. It did not last very long either but with around one hundred people who have been dancing for a couple of hours it’s only to be expected! After the buffet there was a raffle with some lovely prizes .After everyone had eaten and the raffle prizes won it was time to dance to the music with Kenny back on the guitar. Tam Agnew and Crew rounded up the evening.

All in all another great night was had and a fantastic £1206.40 was raised for the Day Centre.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and to the staff who made and served up the buffet.
